Midnight Launch Detected

With only a few more days until the worldwide launch of StarCraft II, the Activision Blizzard hype machine is in full gear. At this point it is kind of hard to traverse the internet without getting pelted by StarCraft II ads, but since they’re so sharp looking, we don’t mind.
If you haven’t already reserved your copy of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, you better hurry. StarCraft II is gearing up to be one of the biggest entertainment launches in history and we suspect it will be sold out in several stores across the world. We just checked our local Gamestop and they have over 250 preorders for the midnight launch.
If price is your concern (the $60 pricetag is a little steep for PC games), you can preorder the game here for a mere $45.
Blizzard employees will be appearing at several stores across the globe to share in the launch festivities. If you want to make the journey, you can check out where they’ll be here.
As for the rest of us who can’t make it, Gamestop, BestBuy, and several other retailers are holding launch events at select stores. To find out if there’s one near you, just visit the respective retailer’s website.
Come Monday night we’ll be posting coverage of our local launch event. Don’t expect much after midnight cause we’ll all be arms deep in the campaign
For those of you who have been following the Join the Dominion minisite, the unlockable content has finally reached 100% giving us an awesome trailer title Ghosts of the Past. Check it out below:
Update: Apparently Dell has sold out of StarCraft II at the $45 price point. It was good while it lasted.

$45 is nice… too bad I already preordered.
